Let’s Cool It! Connect to the Sun

MRES Eco Experience exhibits will educate visitors about ways they can tap solar energy, reduce their use of fossil fuels and keep carbon in the ground.

Minnesota is a great place to plug into the sun! Find out how you can reap the rewards of solar power. Visit Minnesota Renewable Energy Society’s exhibits at the MN State Fair, August 24 to Labor Day and discover solar power system solutions to fit your lifestyle and interests.

Solar is for everyone. Whether you’re planning to power a house or electric car, run a mobile device or ride an electric bike, MN Renewable Energy Society can help you explore choices and resources to get you saving energy and connecting to the Sun. Own a home? Consider rooftop solar. Renting an apartment? Consider a community solar garden. Traveling? Consider portable solar power systems. Interested in supporting renewable energy education? Join MRES.

There’s no better time than now to plug into the Sun and be prepared. What does preparedness look like? Stored energy when you need it. You can power electrical devices while the sun shines or store that power for later. Visit Minnesota Renewable Energy Society’s exhibit to see the latest in home energy storage technology and also the tried and true at work.

Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) is an educational non-profit dedicated to educating about and promoting renewable energy. MRES invites you on a mission to help build a sustainable society and a renewable energy economy for all. At the State Fair you’ll get a glimpse of their programs and opportunities to join in. Come see one of the winning solar boats in the 30th MRES-sponsored Solar Boat Regatta on Lake Riley. Learn about the annual Solar Home Tour—a chance to see innovative sustainable home solutions and talk to home owners first hand. Guest speakers at monthly meetings keep you up-to-date on renewable energy topics. Did you know MRES rents solar power trailers and a solar-powered tiny house?
