Originally built in 1984, this superinsulated
home has R 38 walls and R 80 ceiling. The homeowners added a 3.42
kW photovoltaic, grid-tied solar system with battery backup in
2006.

From I-35W North, exit to I-694 West, take
the first exit to Long Lake Road, and turn right (north) onto Long
Lake Road. Continue on Long Lake Road 1.6 miles to Mississippi Street
(you will cross a small bridge over Rice Creek). The site is at
the intersection of Long Lake Road and Mississippi Street. Turn
left (north) into Daisy Court as the road cures to the right. Look
straight ahead for a blue house with the three-car garage. (Note:
If you cross over the railroad tracks on Long Lake Road, turn back
as these tracks run behind the house.)
From I-94 W North, exit to I-694 East and
turn left (north) onto Long Lake Road. Continue on Long Lake Road
1.6 miles to Mississippi Street (you will cross a small bridge over

Mississippi Street. Turn left (north) into Daisy Court as the road
