Starting with 1.6 kW of solar electric panels
in 2000, this household has caught the bug and continues to add
renewable energy. Now up to 1.9 kW of photovoltaic, they have also
added four solar thermal evacuated tube arrays that provide hot
water for radiator and in-floor heating. A recent addition also
adds passive solar heat gain to the south side of the house.
