Old
Man River Cafe
879 Smith Avenue South
West St. Paul, MN

|
Already known for its conscientious environmental
practices, neighbors approached Old
Man River Cafe with an idea to install solar panels on the flat
roof, which receives unimpeded solar access. The participants hope
it will be a model for others wanting to show their commitment to
renewable energy but lacking an ideal site or extensive financial
resources. The project strongly shows the collective benefits that
can be realized by utility local resources — natural, human
and financial.
